This year, Kwesi added prominent credits to his already prolific acting resume by capturing the lead role of ‘Manny’ in the new Tyler Perry film, I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF In this film, Kwesi acts alongside Academy Award nominee, Taraji P. Henson (2008 Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.), and hip-hop queen, Mary J. Blige.

Tyler Perry wrote the screenplay as well as directs and acts in this movie based off his play with the same title, I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF. It tells the story of “pistol packing” Madea, played by Tyler Perry, who finds her house raided by three kids, including Manny played by Kwesi. Trailers for the movie tease an audience with the recordings from the 911 calls Madea makes. After the raid, she sends the kids to live with their troubled, drunk Aunt April, played by Taraji P. Henson. The movie progresses into the development of Aunt April’s character and the changes she makes with her lifestyle.

I have another little brother in the script and our dad is going through a mid life crisis and we're caught in the middle of it.”
