January 27, 2011 (AUSTIN, TX) -- Nubia Emmon Williams, Texas’s newest and brightest Pop/R&B star has released the single “BURN”—now available for free downloading. With music that is youthful, upbeat, yet melodic, and captures the fun spirit of hip-hop, Nubia is poised to bring a fresh sound to the industry.

BURN was written by Nubia Emmon and platinum producer Salih Williams of Carnival Beats who also produced the track. Nubia stated that what inspired this track was “Michael Jackson (the track’s beat), Slick Rick (the story-telling), Kurtis Blow (the bridge) and just having fun because I had no intentions on creating a song like this. It just happened on accident.”

Nubia Emmon, who sings, dances and is a songwriter, comes from a family of artists. She began singing at the tender age of 3 and performing by the age of 7. In addition to singing solo, she has also performed with her brother’s band, “1319. “

A junior at Judson High School in San Antonio, Texas, Nubia maintains a 4.0 grade average, is a member of the track team and sings in the choir. In addition to using her gift of music and dance, Nubia has a socially conscious side and plans to use her talent in music to give back to her community. She is currently developing a foundation which focuses on improving and building healthy relationships between daughters and their fathers.
